**Background**
- The Technical Support Services (TSS) Activity helps the USAID Health Offices (USAID/HO) in the southern Africa region and the Regional Health Office (RHO) to problem-solve technical priorities and develop creative, innovative solutions to strategically allocate resources, strengthen connections with partners, and replicate best practices and efficient models. Through the TSS contract, Panagora augments capacity and provides technical, operational, and administrative support to USAID’s largest health portfolio. TSS provides advisors in response to USAID requests for strategic work with the Government of South Africa (GovSA), implementing partners, and/or other entities, to further support HO staff members and teams to integrate creative solutions in routine work. TSS also provides international and local expertise for surge support, as needed, for USAID Program Cycle requirements, planning, development, outreach, communications, and HO human resource functions.

**About the Job**

The activity requires multiple leadership coaches (consultants) to provide coaching services. The consultant will provide leadership coaching to individuals and teams within the USAID/South Africa Health Office, other health offices within the region, and to members of the TSS Activity. The successful delivery of work for these offices relies on high performing teams comprising a range of diverse skills and backgrounds who perform complex tasks, and coaches will provide structured support to enhance their performance.

**Requirements**:

- A postgraduate degree in management, organizational development, social science, or a related field is required.
- Submit proof of registration and experience: A coaching qualification and registration with a professional coaching body (The international Coach Federation, The African Executive Coaching Council, European Mentoring and Coaching Council, or similar)
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience providing executive and leadership level coaching support with various levels of individuals and types of organizations.
- Demonstrates proficient experience with 3-5 frameworks or conceptual models for coaching to adapt to various needs.
- Experience with, and passion for, supporting and growing diverse and inclusive teams of people from various backgrounds and countries.
- Experience providing coaching and/or facilitation using virtual collaboration platforms.
- Knowledge and experience working with PEPFAR programs and/or in International Development is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, including clients, colleagues, and senior management.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

The consultant will provide leadership coaching to individuals and groups at various levels of the organization. All coaching is aimed at developing high performance behavior. The coach will be focused on reducing barriers and inspiring people to reach their maximum potential in various circumstances, for example as they prepare for or move into new assignments, improve work habits, adapt to a changing environment, or overcome specific obstacles.

The leadership coach will:
- Facilitate a series of structured virtual webinars with teams focused on topics that meet the needs of the organization (e.g., stress management, management skills, leadership development, communication skills, career development, self-awareness, building emotional resilience, interpersonal skills, and conflict management).
- Provide coaching to individuals and teams on-demand via an online booking system and be flexible in their approach to adapt to whatever issues may arise.
- Follow the comprehensive set of ethical standards of their respective professional body, including maintaining confidentiality and a clear scope of practice (clearly stating what they can and cannot do, and initiating referral when required).
- Establish a written coaching agreement with each individual and/or team at the onset of coaching that outlines confidentiality, involvement of others (e.g., supervisors), goals, duration of engagement, medium of communication and commitment.
- Establish an action and accountability plan with the individual or team and integrate measurements for success.
- Maintain a tracker of all coaching sessions conducted with high-level topic areas covered (redacted and maintaining all necessary confidentiality where appropriate).
- Deliver a monthly high-level report detailing key focus areas/topics, insights and recommendations for proactive interventions/initiatives for the organization.
