Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our construction company as a Procurement Specialist. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the procurement process for construction projects, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services necessary for successful project execution.

**Responsibilities**:
Procurement Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and organizational goals.
Analyze project specifications and collaborate with project managers to determine procurement needs.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on their capabilities, pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.

Request for Proposal (RFP) Management: Prepare and issue RFPs, RFQs (Requests for Quotation), and RFIs (Requests for Information) to potential suppliers.
Review and evaluate proposals received, considering factors such as price, quality, delivery, and overall suitability.
Negotiate terms and conditions, contracts, and pricing with suppliers to achieve optimal value for the organization.
Collaborate with legal and contract management teams to ensure compliance with procurement policies and legal requirements.

Purchase Order Management: Generate and manage purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services.
Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order specifications, delivery schedules, and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Track and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Manage and maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.

Cost Control and Budget Management: Monitor and control project procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effective procurement practices.
Identify opportunities for cost savings through negotiation, bulk purchasing, and alternative sourcing.
Collaborate with project managers to review project budgets and provide procurement input during project planning stages.

Supplier Relationship Management: Foster positive relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Conduct supplier performance evaluations and address any performance issues or concerns.
Continuously evaluate supplier market conditions to identify potential new suppliers and maintain a competitive supply base.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, best practices, and relevant regulations.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
- Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and services is highly desirable.
