**Parts Operations Supervisor**

**Manitou Southern Africa**

**GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY**:
Reporting to the Parts and Machine Centre Manager, this position will be responsible for the Warehouse management, Inventory ordering, Management and Administration.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Dealership & Customer Order and Backorder Management**:

- Weekly updates on Dealer Parts Availability and Order Status
- Management of a dealer sales parts team
- Management of dealer queries through the Assist ticket, maintenance of Assist KPIS
- **Stock Re-ordering & Warehouse Management**:

- Management of Stock Levels, Aged Stock and Stock Re-order Levels
- Performing Weekly and Daily stock orders, and updating inventory management system
- Receipt of Stock on ERP, and at Warehouse Level
- Pricing Management on ERP-addition of new part numbers, deletion of old part numbers.
- Management of the warehouse team and ensuring that the warehouse is kept in optimal condition
- Driving perpetual stock counts to ensure mínimal stock
- **Logistics Management**:

- Tender management for inbound freight (air and sea)
- Recording average freight times and costs
- Managing damage claims and insurance claims on parts
- **Strategic Projects & Reporting**:

- Identify opportunities for improvement with Manager
- Identify initial stocking list and stock levels for new machine introductions and large machine population changes
- Participate in system improvement projects
- Report Inventory Turns, Overall Availability, Shipping and Freight Performance, Backorder status
- Understanding Market Related Pricing on Products, and performing interim feedback reports on pricing strategy.
- Measuring Customer & Dealer satisfaction, and initiating marketing initiatives relating to parts and aftermarket services.
- Staff Appraisals, Training and performance Management.

**EDUCATION**:

- Matric / Proof of prior work experience
- Degree in Supply Chain Management/Industrial Engineering.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- 5 Years’ Experience in Similar role

**COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS**:

- Proven and experience and success in management position the material handling or related industry attention to detail, willingness to learn.
- Suitable knowledge of parts / products - on machinery; coupled with suitable knowledge and experience in parts sales management
- Computer literacy with ERP Systems, Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure in a diverse environment
- Great customer orientation.
- Good organizational, filing and administrative skills.

**INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS**:

- Internal interactions: Works in partnership most departments.
- External interactions: Contact with Subsidiary. Contact with customers requesting information and quotations.

**LOCATION & EXPECTED TRAVEL**:

- This position is based in Proton Industrial Park, South Africa.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: R25,000.00 - R35,000.00 per month
