**Managed People Solutions** is looking for a** Marketing Manager**, to work for a well-known **liquor Distribution Company based** in** Johannesburg, Gauteng.**
**Job Purpose**
The Marketing Manager is responsible for coordinating the marketing function within the business, including conceptualization & execution of brand strategy.
**Responsibilities**
- Identify, develop and evaluate the Marketing and Trade Marketing departmental strategy aligned with all departments to achieve company, portfolio and brand objectives.
- Monitor quarterly objectives.
- Establish short, medium and long term objectives and operational plans to achieve departmental and company objectives and to support sales objectives and client needs.
- Act as the conduit of information flow between CLM, clients, customers and internal and external suppliers.
- Devise best investment plans for client TSA to achieve trade marketing strategy and sales objectives within parameters and mandates.
- Determine and manage discretionary budget and funding priorities.
- Develop and manage omni-channel communications platforms to realise the IMC strategic objectives with effective and cohesive delivery of corporate and brand communication.
- Ensure that correct, current and customised content is created for all internal and external communication.
- Manage design, innovation, quality and quantity of company and brand point of sale material.
- Ensure client brand identity integrity is maintained in promotional and trade activities.
- Work with other relevant functions to develop holistic, multi-platform trade marketing solutions for key targeted markets and maximum brand building.
- Assist sales operations with solutions to collect customer, category and brand related market research, competitive analysis and trade marketing audits to improve the effectiveness of trade marketing programs.
- Support the innovation process by providing data analysis insights into consumer needs, shopper behaviour and POP drivers that effect price, positioning, distribution, visualization and promotion.
- Develop quarterly trade marketing activity plan to implement Meridian sales strategy at a national, regional and investment plan level.
- Plan and brief promotional calendar annually across the portfolio of products and ensure sales tools for market readiness.
- Employ data available and analytical thinking to support and develop distribution, exposure and promotion of SKU, varietal, brand and portfolio tactics.
- Support sales capability by developing brand trade marketing negotiation packs for the sales force.
- Develop brand and portfolio solutions to implement brand and sales strategy in the trade.
- Support the sales teams to ensure quality execution in trade.
- Track, evaluate, analyse and report results of trade marketing activities back to clients.
- Develop the internal company wide brand culture and brand training.
- Develop customer brand and brand training and education programs.
- Devise, develop and maintain internal and external communication platforms.
- Ensure media and public relations communications to maximize company and brand exposure opportunities.
- Evaluate viable marketing opportunities and participation in trade and public events, sponsorships and partnerships for the benefit of the company and our brands.
- Brief, direct, and assign roles for the production, operational plan and activation of special projects.
- Work and collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams and facilitate communication and status reviews
**Requirements**:
- Tertiary Education : University degree
- FMCG brand experience
- Liquor industry experience (Beneficial)
- At least 3 years experience in integrated marketing communications strategy and execution
- Previous experience in the liquor industry in a senior managerial / executive role.
