**Overview**:
We are currently searching for an experienced and highly analytical quality controller to join our Food Safety and Quality department. As the quality controller, you will uphold the food safety and quality regulations of the company and supervise the production process to guarantee that all our products meet quality expectations.

**Resposibilities**:

- Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products.
- Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
- Read product specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
- Measure product and compare the final product to the specifications.
- Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
- Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
- Supervise the production process.
- Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.

**Education and Experience**:

- Tertiary qualification in food technology/ food science
- Certification in quality and food safety is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Good math and technical skills.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Blackheath, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (required)

**Experience**:

- Quality Control: 2 years (preferred)
- Microsoft Office: 3 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- HACCP/FSSC certification (preferred)
