Executive Director: Enterprise Services

Provides strategic leadership, support and advisory services through the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that support the delivery of quality enterprise-wide systems and services in support of the organization’s mandate.
**Areas of Responsibility**:
- Overseeing the development and implementation of all Human Resources strategies and interventions in line with current and future organization’s goals and objectives
- Responsible for the leadership, innovation, governance, and management necessary to identify, evaluate, and monitor organization’s compliance with all legal requirements
- Support the CEO and Executive team with business planning activities, providing practical and innovative input in the development of new business initiatives, the design of current and future strategic and operational plans and bring discipline to the strategic decision-making process to manage the effective use of business resources.
- To provide leadership, management, and the vision necessary to ensure that all enterprise operations have proper capacity, processes, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and business growth and delivery on the organization’s strategy. The ED Enterprise Services is expected to be an integrator within the organisation providing necessary oversight of the key enterprise-wide functions while also ensuring that these functions are enablers for the organisation.
- Overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of organization’s Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) processes
- Overseeing Security Management and liaise with key stakeholders involved in managing facilities, ICT and key infrastructure projects.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- A Social Science degree, with extensive general management, and human resources management experience
- MBA qualification would be an added advantage
- At least 10 years’ senior management experience in an R&D or high-tech, science and/or engineering environment.
- Thoroughly committed to space science and technology advancement
- Excellence in operations management with the ability to integrate multiple functions across the organisation, coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set, and achieve strategic and operational objectives
- Unwavering commitment to quality programmes
- Strong human resources experience with ability to provide effective oversight to this function
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
- Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to business operations management
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
- Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
- Passion and caring attitude for people, staff development, and a deep desire to succeed
- Must be computer literate to a high degree with excellent spreadsheet and presentation skills
- Must demonstrate organisational analysis skills and be knowledgeable on policy, processes, and procedures.
