Junior Electrician

The Junior Electrician will assist the team in planning and executing projects, including upgrades and expansions, while prioritizing safety and minimizing downtime. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical issues, conducting inspections repairs or replacements of faulty components and adhering to electrical codes and regulations.

**Experience required**
- Matric with a Red seal - Electrical qualification.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience as an Electrician in a Maintenance Department.
- A background in the FMCG would be advantageous.
- Follow company policy in line with legislation, best practice and organisational objectives. -Be actively involved in maintenance projects, through executing the tasks in a timely manner.
- Good communication skills.
- Work well with all people from different backgrounds - easy to do business with. -Problem-solving ability.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct fault analysis and repairs independently.
- DC, AC, single phase, 2 phase, 3 phase, 230V, 380V, and industrial troubleshooting.
- Ensure machinery and infrastructure function optimally.
- Conduct fault finding and problem solving on electrical equipment.
- Maintain plant and all machinery to a high standard to minimize breakdown time.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery.
- Minimize downtime.
- Maintain all plant and machinery to the latest specifications and standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance as per check sheets and schedules.
- Respond to breakdown as soon as possible during working and after hours.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Be responsible for all tools issued and all machines working with.
- Maintain good daily housekeeping.
