A new opportunity has arisen in the NPI and Development Team for a Technician reporting to the Principal Scientist and based in Springs (ZAPRO). The technician role will be responsible to support Oil & Gas prototype development focusing on new diamond mix development (DMP), PDC Pre-composite and Capsule Assembly activities. In addition, the role will support the set-up of new processes and transfer of products to production.

- Job Description
- Responsible for the set-up, development and transfer of new diamond mixes to production
- Assist project leaders with new product or process development, planning and timely delivery of customer focused projects
- Support planning and scheduling of Level 2 processes in pre-synthesis and synthesis
- Provide technical support to production in line with area of responsibility
- Identify root cause for quality issues in the manufacturing pipeline and implement sustainable solution where appropriate.
- Participates in PPS together with relevant production teams
- Responsible for short to medium term projects under the guidance of the Principal Scientist

- Qualifications
- Min required qualification: National Diploma in Metallurgy/Chemical/Industrial
- At least 1 year working experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in product development process will be an added advantage.
