Technical Product Specialist

**Purpose of the Role**

To ensure that LIXIL’s reputation for excellent customer service is maintained and enhanced by dealing diplomatically with complaint calls and using discretion in determining the action required and ensuring that the call is resolved. To perform your office duties with diligence and maintain good relations with customers and colleagues.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Scheduled calling on identified customers to promote the advantages of using LIXIL

products over our competition and ensuring that they are well accepted and specified.
- Attending site meetings, providing solutions, promoting LIXIL products, fault finding

and repairing products.
- Presenting product seminars and arranging factory tours to Plumbers and

Maintenance Engineers etc.
- Investigating products and activities of opposition as well as opportunities for LIXIL

sales on sites and reporting such information.
- Manage recurring maintenance and updates for product materials for designated

product line
- Identifying and reporting product faulty and their probable causes.
- Report on competitor’s products and activities as well as recommend on opportunities

to improve sales.
- Appraise and introduce product faults to departments which need to be rectified in

production.
- Diplomatically deal with customers to ensure good relations are developed.
- Effectively deal with customers to ensure good relations are developed.

**Requirements**:

- Matric certificate
- Must be a qualified plumber (Trade Test)
- Must have technical drawing as knowledge and experience
- Ability to memorize details like LIXIL product specifications
- Must have strong customer service skills
- Must have Minimum 3 years’ experience in the LIXIL Service Department

**Salary**: R25,000.00 - R30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Morningside, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
