Inventory Lead

**Responsibilities**

**Policies & Processes**:

- Create and document all inventory processes to ensure alignment across BU’s, nationally
- Align all the required control metrics with adequate documented steps to be used in onboarding and training of new employees to warehousing and inventory roles
- Standardize all Key Controls through the appropriate level of detail in inventory reporting, monitoring and actions to prevent recurrence.
- Design, implement and review stock counting procedures - perpetual and month end
- Develop and maintain the pre and post cycle count procedures.
- Review the back to stock returns process to ensure visibility and segregation of the required inventory based on AIB Quality requirements
- Review all expired, obsolete, damaged, quality inventory processes - physical and systematic flows
- Define and review all Co-Manufacturing inventory processes to ensure alignment of controls and supplier payment requirements
- Review the pallet reversal process and Key Control requirements for all sites where manufacturing receipts are processed
- Review, define and embed requirements of stock claims
- Define shift handover meetings of the inventory teams aligned to the required inventory routines
- Define the waste management processes nationally, review suppliers and metrics
- Develop and implement Inventory Toolkit

**Key Performance Metrics**:

- Create the Inventory health check dashboard for all warehouses covering: Inbound receipt processes, storage systems and flow, Quality management, dispatch processes and returns management
- Align the standardized metrics for the health check, how to maintain it and action required to correct
- Create the daily, weekly and monthly inventory metrics align to the required control metrics
- Create and automate inventory metrics across all sites

Ensure visibility and reconciliation of all Goods in transit (GIT) to be aligned with transport execution costs as validation and control - drive to minimize replenishment loads nationally and minimum inventory touches
- Create the required physical inventory (PI) counter performance metrics and job profiles
- Create the required Inventory Controller performance metrics and job profiles
- Align the work scheduled for pick controller roles - daily requirements, metrics and monitoring of allocation and deallocation reports.
- Review all blocked locations daily, weekly, monthly across all warehouses with the appropriate reason code visibility

Review all expired, obsolete, damaged, quality inventory with the appropriate actions and escalations
- Monitor all production receipts into WMS, versus reversals versus case validation from manufacturing sites
- Implement monitoring of stock claims that are liabilities - ensure closure before month end counts - root cause of stock claims
- Drive metrics that impact inventory accuracy: pick accuracy, warehouse housekeeping, checking accuracy and invoice accuracy
- Measure invoice accuracy / cases cut from an order resulting in service level losses and other causes impacting dirty invoicing. Define root cause, analyse and implement corrective action
- Monitor Quality NCR’s raised monthly with the appropriate actions taken and feedback from Quality/Manufacturing to drive down recurrence rates

**ry Capability& Development**
- Create the required training material to support all inventory roles
- Create the development maps for inventory specialist roles
- Coach and develop the inventory analyst to enable continuity in reporting, system maintenance and process monitoring.
- With Sector collaboration - create an inventory Academy for SSA
- Enable, support, review and update the Inventory Module in the Warehouse Maturity Assessment as part of the Operational Excellence Program (OEP)

**System Maintenance**
- Analyse interfaces between WMS, Stock files and SAP to rectify errors in inventory that occur in the system

Update/Maintain EWM/JDA master data requirements
- Manage all customer SLED requirements systematically with the required updates twice a year
- Complete ABC analysis & Zoning for all agreed warehouses once annually
- Monitor all allocation rules
- Manage the SOD (Segregation of Duties) Key Control - define role matrix, access and profiles quarterly across all warehouse systems & Newspage
- Review all locations per site - physical versus system alignment to confirm site capacity to Planning
- Review all BU shelf life requirements in the system bi-annually

**People**
- Effective management of overtime costs within budget.
- Participate in AOP planning for dept.
- Effective management of designated AOP category to ensure that business remains within budget

**SDCA**:

- Clearly defined PI’s and KPI’s and process maps to task levels for all inventory functions
- Effective SOP’s for all critical task’
