**Finance Clerk**

**LOCATION: Midrand**

**REPORTING TO: Finance Director**

Our client is looking for a Finance Clerk to assist in the ongoing maintenance of internal records and reports and in the preparation and maintenance of records and schedules for all company accounts and programs. The Finance Clerk will assist in the appropriate and safe handling of financial records, forms, correspondence, and documents.

**Objectives**

**1. Maintains accounts.**
- Processing, verifying and balancing invoices.
- Control of the Purchase ledger, receiving internal and external invoices and expenses, obtaining

authorisation, and requesting receipts on PO’s, ensuring coded correctly, entering onto accounting software.
- Control of the Cash Book, raising ZAR and foreign payment runs, allocating sales and purchase.

- Capture payments on Cashbook in local and foreign currency as required.
- Prepare cashbook report weekly and reconcile at month end.
- Process Subsistence allowance on Cashbook and update Smartsheet as and when required.
- Prepare BOP forms for foreign deposits and payments.
- Create purchase orders for all supplier purchases.
- Capture all inventory usages and transfers daily.

**2. Finance Administration**
- Monthly reports
- Monthly reports for Mobile Phone, Flights and Stationery for Departmental Managers
- Maintains good working order of all reporting spreadsheets.
- Preparing monthly invoicing analysis
- Expense claim management and processing
- Operation of good internal controls
- Pay attention in processing all transaction and submitting reports.
- Accurate filing and data capturing
- Keep electronic records of all critical documents pertaining to Finance Admin functions.
- Manage attendance and presence according to company requirements.
- Report absence to Manager immediately with telephone call
- All leave requests must be done timeously to enable proper planning.
- Manage attendance and presence according to contractual agreement.

**3. Logistics Administration**
- Preparing bills and invoices
- Managing distribution and shipment budgets
- Provide financial administrative support to the Spares and Logistics department.

**1. Education**
- Educated to a Diploma or equivalent standard to Finance or related field.
- This diploma is highly preferable but may not be essential if the incumbent has the experience required under the “experience” heading.

**2. Experience**
- 1 Years minimum experience as a Financial Clerk or other financial professional
- Experience in working with customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to all levels.
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality

**3. Technical/Computer Knowledge**
- PC literate (Fully proficient with XP, MS office, particularly Word, Excel PowerPoint, and outlook)
- Knowledge and Experience with SAGE PASTEL.

**4. Legal**
- Valid driver’s license
- Own reliable vehicle.
- Valid passport
- Clear Credit & Criminal Record
- Reliability and dependability.
