Senior Specialist: IT Audit

**Company in Johannesburg is looking forSenior Specialist**: IT Audit to join their team.

**Main purpose**:
Executing IT audits in accordance with IIA professional standards

Provide technical support to IT audit team

Keep the wider internal audit team up-to-date on IT developments

The Senior Specialist is responsible for the quality of the audit work performed

**Responsibilities**:
Stakeholder relationship development and management

Execute IT audits per guidance from the IT Manager

Perform audit procedures and prepare work papers in accordance with the IIA Standards

Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness f internal controls and make recommendations

Prepare comprehensive written reports communicating results of the audit

Follow up on corrective actions required as necessary

Other related duties that may be required from time to time

Ensure audits and issues assurance within Key Performance timelines and resource budget

Mentor and coach less experienced team members by providing guidance around the methodology and audit process, and manage the teams that assigned to the audit effectively by delegating audit work to empower each individual team member

Support IA management team to identify, attract, develop and retain talent on an ongoing basis.

**Skills required**:
CA(SA), CISA (required)
IT auditing experience (required) - thorough understanding and working knowledge of COBIT 5.

CRISC (will be advantageous)
Project Governance experience on Agile, Waterfall project methodology (will be advantageous)
Knowledge of internal auditing theories and standards and ability to plan audits in accordance with IIA standards

Strong organisational skills

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills

Strong computer literacy

Able to work under pressure and to deadlines

Minimum of five years relevant working experience
