Ward Secretary

Intercare Sub-Acute Hospital Irene (Pty) Ltd situated in Centurion, is recruiting for a Ward Secretary. The purpose of the position is to provide assistance to maintain the smooth running of wards by performing a range of administrative and customer service tasks.

**CRITICAL OUTPUTS**
- Communicate with patients and families as required with regards to logístical arrangements
- Compile the patient file after discharge according to audit processes
- Prepare admission documentation
- Compile daily bed lists and ensure adherence to authorizations received
- Assist with stock ordering and stock management
- Assist the Unit Manager with adhoc tasks as required

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Grade 12 / Office Administration qualification
- At least 2 years reception experience in a medical facility
- At least 2 years administrative experience
- Understanding of a medical practice will be an advantage
- AS400 System experience advantageous
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office and have good typing skills
