**Areas of Responsibility**
- TheEQS Hub Lead / Senior Security Manager Africa is a full-time employee of the SiemensEnergy EHS, Quality Governance and Security (EQS) organization and specificallycontributes to the security of Siemens Energy personnel, assets, and operationsin the regional Hub Africa as part of the Siemens Energy Security organization(SE EQS SEC).
- AsLine Manager, the holder of this position leads the Security Managers / EQS SECteam members in the relevant Hub Africa countries.
- Theholder of this position reports to the global Head of Security (EQS SEC) and participatesin the strategic planning of world-wide security implementation, includingadequate budget and resource planning with regards to the Hub region andcoordinates security topics with other EQS SEC teams as necessary.
- Theholder of this position is responsible for supporting the implementation andcompliance with Siemens Energy security governance requirements, including butnot limited to security compliance, travel and workplace security, assetprotection, security incident and crisis management / business continuity.
- Theholder of the position provides tactical guidance, operational support, andsecurity consulting to Siemens Energy regional/local Management, Siemens Energyemployees, and working in close cooperation with external and internal stakeholders.
- Theholder of the position supports the development of local security procedures tomitigate security threats whilst proactively monitoring the securityenvironment in order to prioritize activities to support business goals andachievements.
- Theholder of the position develops and supports local initiatives to fulfillbusiness security requirements and to maintain security awareness withinindividual business units.
- Theholder of the position develops and maintains internal and external networks inorder to stay current with industry best practice and developments indelivering cost effective security.
- Thereis a further responsibility to promote security awareness, conduct trainings(in close collaboration with other functions such as Cyber Security) and todeliver proportionate and cost-effective security measures to support theachievement of business objectives, as well as seeking to simplify and improveprocesses and procedures.
- Theholder of the position coordinates EHS topics on the Hub Africa Level to HUB EVP for Country Core Legal Requirement
- Theholder of the position coordinates Quality Governance topics on the Hub AfricaLevel.Interface with SE EQS Q-COE in theroll-out of the SE IMS multi-site certificate covering all stand-alone countrymanagement systems within the HUB

**Requirements**:

- Relevantacademic degree, a professional qualification from a recognized securityauthority or appropriate security experience through working within lawenforcement, regulatory enforcement, military, academic, or equivalentexperience.
- Tenyears minimum experience working in corporate security or a similar commercialenvironment, including practical experience of project management, incident, andcrisis management, in a multinational company, a security company, or similarexperience, also at least partially in high-risk countries.
- In-depthknowledge of the main political and security issues in Africa is required.
- Abilityto communicate effectively both orally and in writing, strong networking,negotiating, and influencing skills.
- Excellentcommand of English. French and Arabic is an advantage.
- Ableto prioritize tasks and to manage workloads in an effective manner with mínimaldirect supervision and flexibility in managing multiple and diverse tasks.
- Abilityto analyze and assimilate information from diverse sources, including local andinternational media outlets, social media outlets, local information sourcesetc.
- Effectiveproblem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in time criticalsituations, willingness to work outside of regular working hours in timecritical situations.
- Willingnessto travel in high-risk countries.
- Sensitiveand responsive to the needs of different religious, ethnic, tribal, andcultural groups.
- Proven integrity and high personal standards of behavior.
- Experiencein working in a multinational and multicultural environment, as well as proven interpersonalskills and ability to successfully engage with diverse audiences.
