We are looking for a Building Physics Modeller to provide parametric and compliance modelling for buildings’ energy performance, thermal comfort, and daylight evaluation. The job description includes rational design modelling for SANS 10400-XA compliance, and Green Star and LEED consulting services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Building Physics analysis and building optimization via building modelling software (IES, Energy Plus, Revit)
- Report writing (energy, thermal comfort, SANS 10400-XA, overheating modelling, CFD, daylight, and daylight glare modelling)
- Sustainability consulting on Green Star, EDGE and LEED projects.
- Advocate building initiatives that serve to enhance indoor environmental quality for people and reduce the carbon emissions contribution from buildings.

Key Competencies:

- Ability to model in IES, Energy Plus and Revit
- Good planning skills
- Good report writing and communication skills
- Practical mechanical experience advantageous
- Experience working in the sustainability or green building field advantageous
- Green Star / LEED / EDGE accreditation advantageous
- Building physics performance analysis and audits advantageous
- ASHRAE / CIBSE commissioning advantageous

**Qualifications**
- B.Eng. / B.Sc. /Building engineering physics / B.Arch
- 2 years experience with modelling programs e.g. IES, Design Builder, Energy Plus, Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and/ or other modelling software
