Leasing Administrator

We are looking to hire two Leasing administrators with superb customer service and interpersonal skills.
This position is demanding and requires an energetic, well-organized individual with strong administration skills and great initiative.
You will assist the Leasing Management Team with:
- Assist Property Manager with ensuring compliance with leasing obligations and company policy and implementing fining or warning systems when applicable.
- Assist with marketing available residential units.
- Conduct credit verification and relevant assessments of prospective customers.
- Identify suitable tenants through rigorous screening against selection criteria in compliance with company policy and within prescribed timeframes.
- Prepare and submit required lease documentation.
- Coordinate with Property Manager / Complex Manager to prepare the unit for occupation.
- Hand over tenant to property manager at entry inspection.
- Lease termination dates monitored and Portfolio Manager, Leasing Manager, Property Manager, Facilities Manager are notified of upcoming renewals.
- Notify tenant of upcoming renewal and negotiate lease renewals.
- Notify Portfolio Manager, Leasing Manager, Property Manager, and Facilities Manager of all terminations.
- Facilitate tenant relocations upon request of tenant, Property Manager or Vulamathauba.
- Complete market rental surveys.
- Monitor industry, market and competitor trends.
- Responsible for the customer experience throughout take-on process.
- Create new tenant records and update existing tenant records.
- Manage cases related to leasing on CRM.
- Resolve minor leasing complaints or direct tenants with complex complaints to the appropriate source to ensure that their problems are appropriately resolved.
- Draft leasing-related communications addressed to tenants.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES / SKILLS:
- Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification.
- Computer Literate (CRM, MDA, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proficient in English, Afrikaans, or isiXhosa.
- 3 years’ experience in leasing, property administration or a property-related role.
- Working knowledge of the laws governing residential leasing
- A track record of excellent customer service
- A valid Code EB (08) driver’s license.
