- Job Description
- Ensuring that legal requirements, codes of practice and policies are adhered through monitoring and reporting and ensuring compliancy to the AA policy requirements.
- Maintaining best practice in the ventilation and occupational hygiene strategies and systems as well as measuring compliance in accordance with the Occupational Health Risk assessment and Monitoring.
- Maintaining an effective occupational hygiene measurement programme through conducting risk assessments, occupational hygiene measurements and participating in audits.
- Conducting daily ventilation and occupational hygiene inspections as well as recording findings and advising on appropriate interventions.
- Assisting in the short term and future planning on the ventilation and occupational hygiene for existing operations as well as providing alternative controls for optimizing ventilation and health hazard elimination.
- Contributing to the achievement of the SHE objectives and targets of the operation through supporting the development of business strategies and promoting a safe and healthy working environment

This role is in the Project and SHE - Health OPS department at a **C2 level reporting to the Occupational Hygiene Technologist **.
- Qualifications
- Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science
- COM practical portion of the Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control.
- COM Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control (Advantageous)
- Registration with the South African Institute of Occupational Hygiene (SAIOH)
- (Advantageous)
- Member of the Mine Ventilation Society of South Africa (Advantageous)
- BOHS W201 Basic Principles of Occupational Hygiene administered by SAIOH- ( Advantageous )
- SAIOH registration at Assistant Level
- (Advantageous)

**Your experience will include**:

- Experience of at least 2 years in the Mining environment
- Practical experience of at least 1 years in the Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene field (Advantageous)
- Additional Information
- Computer literate in full MS Office
- SAP (Advantageous)
- Valid driving license
- A self-starter with a growth mindset
- Have strong stakeholder management and engagements skillset
- Ability to work well under pressure
