IT Field Technician

Responsibilities:
1. Installation and Setup: Install, configure, and set up equipment, systems, or technology according to specifications and guidelines provided by the manufacturer or company. This may include electrical, mechanical, or software components.

2. Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct testing and diagnostic procedures to ensure proper functionality and identify any issues or malfunctions. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems that may arise during installation or in ongoing maintenance.

3. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment or systems are functioning optimally. This may involve cleaning, adjusting, calibrating, or replacing components. Repair or replace faulty parts or equipment as needed.

4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installation, maintenance, and repair activities. Complete service reports, documentation, and other paperwork in a timely manner.

5. Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Provide assistance, guidance, and instructions to customers regarding the operation and maintenance of the installed equipment or system. Address customer inquiries and concerns effectively.

6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on customer sites or job sites. Follow all applicable regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications:
2. Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues or malfunctions effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to think logically and analytically.

3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts or instructions to customers in a clear and understandable manner. Active listening skills to understand customer concerns and address them appropriately.

4. Time Management: Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to meet installation and repair deadlines. Ability to work independently and complete assignments within established timelines.

5. Physical Stamina: Installation technicians may be required to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, or be exposed to various weather conditions. Physical fitness and stamina are essential for this role.

**Salary**: R6,500.00 - R9,000.00 per month

- Somerset West, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
