**Job Description**:

- As a M&E and Data Management Specialist your responsibilities will include:
**Safety & Health**
- Act as a safety leader to reinforce a workplace culture where safety and health is paramount
- Identify specific risks within working area and adhere to discipline-specific plans/system to avoid these risks
- Report on critical control performance within team
- Embed critical controls into daily work practices
- Implement Safety & Health systems within work area
- Engage in physical safety checks, interventions and coaching
- Collect data for safety reports and gather KPIs based on available data
- Report deficiencies and implement plans to address deficiencies

**Performance & Delivery**
- Develop, implement, and monitor the operation relevant data management plan for Corporate Affairs and Sustainable Impact (CA&SI) Function, per system, including frequency, accuracy and data types, including relevant cross-functional requirements. These will align to CA&SI data management requirements and standards as developed from time to time
- Support data management and collection of relevant information as required in the Anglo American Social Way (AASW) and Sustainable Mining Plan (SMP), Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA)Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements
- Define Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) objectives and strategy, and present a conceptual M&E framework describing internal and external M&E arrangements, and identify potential indicators to measure inputs, outputs and outcomes for relevant AASW, SMP and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements including:

- AASW
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Socio-Economic Development
- Cultural and Heritage
- Grievances and Incident Management
- Contractor Management
- Land Access and Resettlement
- Sustainable Mining Plan
- Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA)
- Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements

**Operational Planning**

**Data management Planning**
- Identify potential sources to support social, environmental and economic data analysis and data requirements for
- AASW
- SMP
- IRMA
- ESG
- Plan and develop processes to collect, transform and capture in various systems, including frequency that are aligned to CA&SI data management standards and requirements
- Support development, enhancement and maintenance of multiple datasets as required in the AASW and other relevant policies as noted above
- Finalise data collection needs and information requirements for relevant operations and communicate the relevant team members

**Monitoring and Evaluation Planning**
- Design and finalise, with relevant operations teams, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Frameworks aligned to the AASW, Sustainable Mining Plan (SMP) and other policies that incorporate:

- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Measures for monitoring progress and correcting emerging issues
- Assess operational systems (e.g. Isometrix) and understand the match to requirements of the M&E Framework and log any gaps and requirements with the IM business partner and relevant team members in CA&SI
- Assess data sources and requirements for the M&E system and identify gaps and processes, data sources and routines to address. Align to standards required by Corporate Relations and Sustainable Impact (CR&SI) and Corporate Affairs and Sustainable Impact (CA&SI) processes.
- Identify, with relevant CR&SI and CA&SI teams, relevant M&E Frameworks in order to align

Data Management
- Collect data from relevant sources
- Capture data adequately as required in the correct formats
- Evaluate datasets for consistency, completeness, accuracy and reasonableness
- Audit data on a regular basis and ensure data integrity
- Analyse and capture data from different formats and sources
- Assist with developing and interpreting the data in various formats
- Identify patterns, trends and correlations in the data sets as appropriate
- Supply required data and analytics to teams in Corporate Affairs and Sustainable Impact function and group CR&SI functions as required from time to time
- Perform data management activities in accordance with customer, company, contract, and regulatory requirements
