Type: Permanent
Reports to: Business Unit Manager - Light Material Handling
Job description / core competencies:
Lead an organisational strategy that encompasses the split in Light Belting operational identities. Incorporates Centres of Excellence (COE) as a national service provider. This is all fundamentally aligned to the three company strategic pillars as quality components, technical expertise and superior service.
- Direct and guide strategy, operational policies, production plans and health & safety.
- Carry out work study and process assessments to enable improvement. To be managed.
- Re-focus the hub’s workshops into light and heavy centres of excellence with nominated workstation teams appointed with both clearly nominated Internal production and separate field service teams named with roles defined.
- Access and align staff’s craft skill to best fit in accordance with ability and work demand.
- Instil clear ownership of process within the teams.
- Improve end to end communication and production processes across all workflows.
- Planned maintenance initiated and overseen. Tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Quality Control Plan (QCP) implemented and managed. Incidence of QC non-conformance acted on.
- Housekeeping directives issued, and standards managed.
- KAIZEN and LEAN management models implemented.
**Location**:Gauteng and Mpumalanga
**Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
Qualifications: Grade 12 (Matric). Related technical qualifications.
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ production management experience.
**Skills**:
- Strong management experience at a senior level.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional computer literacy.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Timely, well organized and deadline driven.
- Experience in customer and supplier negotiations.
