Quality Assurance Pharmacist

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:
- Educational requirement BPharm Degree or equivalent as per the National Qualification Framework (NQF)
- 3 years of manufacturing, distribution and/or packaging of pharmaceutical products and quality experience or a combination thereof
- Experience across multiple disciplines associated with Quality Assurance
- Product registration experience would be advantageous.
- Computer literate - able to use MS Suite, Access, and Sharepoint would be advantageous.
**JOB FUNCTIONS (Brief Summary)**:
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing quality unit experience and procedures.
- Batch release requirements are adhered to and performed in line with OTIF and planning schedule.
- Compliance and effectiveness of the Quality Management Systems (QMS) is regularly assessed.
- To ensure legal compliance to all Acts, i.e., the Pharmacy Act (Act No 53 of 1974, as amended), and the Medicines and Related Substance Control Act (Act 101 of 165, as amended)
- To carry out the duties of a Deputy Responsible Pharmacist in accordance with Regulations 28 of the Pharmacy Act
- Product and quality problems are dealt with effectively. Prevent and minimise the recurrence of such failures.
- To act responsibly in the practice of pharmacist in accordance with operational requirements of the business - including (but not limited to):
- Initiate, compose, implement, and regularly update SOP’s relating to the above.
- Partake in customer audits and regulatory inspections, compiling audit responses.
- Train appropriate personnel in SOP’s and other relevant areas
- Review customer quality agreements and third-party agreements.
- Administer the CAPA & deviation system, reporting on trends.
- Compile customer questionnaires.
- Any other reasonable task, as requested by company management.
