**_ Position Purpose:_**
To conduct risk assessments, which involves identification and analysis, evaluation, and ensure that business risks are
appropriately managed, value is added and organisational objectives are achieved.
To conduct business impact analysis and risk assessments for the region to facilitate the establishment of Business
Continuity Plans and Emergency Response Plans
Management of insurance claims in the Region
**_ Position outputs:_**
Development and implementation of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) System based on the ISO 31000 standard
- Lead and facilitate the Identification and recording of business risks as per the ERM Policy, Standards and Methodology,
- Collaborate with management to develop control measures to address significant business risks
- Develop operational processes to ensure control of significant business risks and impacts
- Conduct internal audits and inspections of the operations to ensure implementation of controls to avoid or minimise
business risks
- Develop and maintain records to demonstrate implementation of the ERM Standards
- Participate in relevant Regional Committees/ Forums to identify risks and advise on risk matters. Participate in procurement
processes that require inputs from risk
- Conduct site inspections to verify property risk information and support the business with lease decision-making,
investigations, controls and interventions
- Collaborate with other Specialists and managers to ensure risk is integrated into day-to-day decision making
- Participate in Control Self-Assessments and internal audits to assess conformance and implementation of controls
Provide Specialist input to Regions on Business Continuity Plans in line with ISO 22301 standards and Transnet Standards
- Facilitate the development and review of effective BCPs in the Region;
- Participate in the simulation and testing of BCPs to provide inputs and support for improvement.
- Provide specialist inputs during the development and review of emergency preparedness and response plans to ensure
alignment with BCPs
- Co-ordinate the undertaking of simulations and test exercises to ensure that the business in prepared for potential threats
and impacts;
- Train employees and managers on their roles and responsibilities pertaining to BCP’s;
- Conduct site inspections and advise management, tenants and other stakeholders on BCM and ERPs
- Participate in Committees/Forums that promote BCPs and ERPs
Insurance Claims Management
- Capture the insurance claim in the Insurance Management system
- Keep a Registers of all insurance claims for the Region
- Co-ordinate all the required information to support the claim
- Co-ordinate the consolidation and reporting of supporting information for insurance claims from relevant Regional
Management team members
- Provide relevant feedback to management relating to insurance claims
- Conduct site inspections to verify claim information
Administration support
- Prepare monthly reports as per the agreed format
- Arrange meeting and take minutes for record purposes
- Carry-out administrative duties relevant to the role
- Keep records for audit purposes
**_Qualifications & Experience:_**
- The minimum qualification required is a three-year Degree or Diploma in Commerce/ Business Administration or equivalent
qualification, at NQF Level 7
- At least 6 years’ experience in a position relating to the management of an Enterprise Risk Management Programme,
Insurance Claim and Business Continuity Management
- Registration as a Professional body will be an advantage
