Corporate Treasury Specialist

To provide compliance support in the execution of Treasury related activities working within and aligned to the prescribed standards, processes and procedures and optimizing the work outputs within these:
- Accountable for providing input into the development of a compliance framework; including Risk Management and Monitoring plan.
- Embeds & monitors compliance within the department and manages contractual undertakings/obligations ensuring the department is aligned from a governance perspective
- Initiates/Recommends and facilitates corrective action where required
- To assist with raising of Debt Funding and management of the administration process thereof.
**Qualification and Experience** Qualifications**
- BCOM degree or equivalent /FAIS recognized
- A Legal qualification will be an added advantage
**Experience**
- A minimum of 5 - 7 year’s work experience of which at least 2-3 years must be within the Compliance, Legal and/or Treasury environment
- Strong governance and compliance experience
- A sound knowledge and ability to extract SAP reports
- Experience in dealing in foreign exchange will be an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Understanding of audit methodology an advantage
- Good analytical, communications and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate compliance concepts clearly and succinctly
- Proven ability to create awareness and influence through amicable consensus towards desire outcome
- Capability of managing multiple deliverables simultaneously
- Experience in a fund management environment will be advantageous
- Experience in Loan Capital Markets and deal pricing
- Knowledge of Funding tools or instruments will be advantageous
- Understanding of the DMTN program operation and its implementation process
- A good understanding of PFMA, Exchange Control and other specific Treasury regulations will be advantageous
- Knowledge of foreign exchange procedures, implications and controls
- Experience in the maintenance of statutory records and documents
- Knowledge and experience of the following systems: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SAP, SharePoint and Docupedia
- Ability to interpret new Compliance requirements and advise on the management thereof
**Roles and Responsibilities**
**_
Financial / Shareholder Returns_**
- Management of Loan Allocations including the identification of SME’s meeting lenders criteria
- Monitor and Interpretation of financial clause on agreements relevant to ratings of IDC and ensure team are notified of ratings changes to ensure action is taken to review and update accordingly.
- Interpretation of the payment profile and management of liabilities to ensure amortization is accurately processed and reviewed as and when required.
- Manage and pro-actively action reminders within the department to ensure timeous action is taken and escalate where clauses will result in financial impact
- Management of database of loans and investments on SAP/Treasury system to ensure accurate data can be extracted and monitored.

- Support the Head of Corporate Funding with the bidding and evaluation process (including preparation of documents for the meeting, preparing submission for approval etc.)
- Obtain external approvals as required i.e. the National Treasury, Minister of Public Enterprises, the SA Reserve Bank, Foreign Affairs and/or the Minister of Finance and arrange for a governmental guarantee if necessary.
- Draw up the loan agreement with the lending bank in consultation with all relevant parties

- Proactive identification of potential compliance breaches and irregularities with lenders
- Maintain records and a comprehensive database of all borrowers and lenders condition precedents
- Management, review and planning of all Borrowings highlighting areas or potential concern and opportunities.
