**Job Purpose**:
To control, co-ordinate and supervise the administration of the Compensation function.
This post reports to MANAGER (NURSING)
**Key Responsibility Areas**:
Implement and maintain a proper document management system and process flow for the
Compensation records and claims.
Compile and provide statistics of the injuries on duty, diseases, incidents and accidents for the
entire Municipality.
Analyze, report and advise management timely of identified trends.
Assist the Manager Nursing with various personnel management functions within the
Compensation section.
Keep abreast with the latest legislation and best information in respect of occupational
diseases and injuries.
Assist the Occupational Health Physician with administrative support for the Department of
Labour meetings and enquiries regarding the investigation of reportable injuries, deaths and
fatalities.
Ensure timeous submission and settlement of COIDA and insurance claims.
**Essential Requirements**:
Matric/Grade 12.
Valid motor vehicle drivers license (Code B).
18 Months relevant clerical and supervisory experience. Computer Literacy, knowledge of
Word Perfect and Excel spreadsheets and related packages.
**Preferred Requirements**:
Matric/Grade 12 plus relevant certificate accredited by SAQA.
24 Months relevant experience.
