**VACANCY: Fine Arts and Motion Design FACILITATOR - SAE INSTITUTE**

SAE Institute is seeking a talented and passionate Fine Arts and Motion Design Facilitator to join our esteemed faculty. In this role, you will have the opportunity to inspire and mentor students, guiding them through the intricate worlds of Fine Arts and Motion Design. You will foster creativity, technical expertise, and a profound understanding of artistic expression across various media, both in traditional and digital realms, through the seamless integration of both disciplines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and deliver comprehensive lectures encompassing a range of topics within Fine Arts, including:

- _Traditional Drawing Techniques_, covering essential skills like life drawing, perspective, composition, shading, and diverse media exploration to create and refine character designs, storyboards, and keyframes for animation projects, ensuring a strong foundation in artistic expression and visual storytelling.
- _Traditional Painting Techniques_ in various paint mediums, covering essential skills like colour theory, texture, perspective, composition, and shading to add mood and artistic nuances to background art and concept paintings in animation, enhancing the visual appeal and atmosphere of the animated world.
- Teach _Motion Design Principles_, covering animation fundamentals, storytelling through motion, timing, and proficiently utilising digital tools such as Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony, Storyboard Pro, or similar software.
- Teach Adobe Photoshop, covering the creation and manipulation of 2D assets, such as characters, environments, and visual effects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality graphics seamlessly integrated into the digital medium for various projects.
- Showcase the seamless harmony of fine art drawing merged with motion design, allowing students to create compelling visual narratives and expressive motion visuals.
- Assign and supervise projects that challenge students to incorporate skills learned through project-based assignments, fostering innovative approaches and interdisciplinary thinking.
- Conduct regular critiques of student work, providing constructive feedback to help students refine their techniques and creative artistic vision.
- Mentor students in building diverse and captivating portfolios, offering guidance in selecting and presenting their finest works to prospective clients or employers.
- Introduce students to the rich heritage of art history and contemporary trends in the creative design industry, nurturing their cultural awareness and inspiring them to create relevant and impactful artwork.
- Encourage students to collaborate with peers from other disciplines and actively participate in college exhibitions and external showcases, offering them exposure and experience in the vibrant art and design community.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in industry software and technology, integrating relevant tools and techniques into the curriculum.
- Collaborate with the academic team to develop and update course curricula, ensuring alignment with industry standards and emerging technologies.

Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on emerging trends, techniques, and industry standards in the creative industry.
- Adhere to SAE policies and procedures.
- Other related tasks as assigned by the HOA.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum NQF Level 8 qualification (BA Honours) in relevant fields.
- Experience of a minimum of 2 years in a relevant field is preferred.
- Prior experience in teaching tertiary-level education is highly desirable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R23,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month
