LifeQ is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic Quality Assurance Analyst to be part of the QA function.

Responsible for both technical and operational aspects, in that you will need to identify defects through testing activities, but also continuously seek to identify shortcomings and inefficiencies in the development process.

Join the LifeQ QA team in working in cross-functional teams, consisting of researchers, data scientists, software and hardware engineers, designers and solution architects, who develop and integrate health and wellness solutions.

You will be involved throughout the software development life cycle, from contextualizing known issues and risks of current products and integrations during the planning phase, questioning and evaluating the testability of requirements and specifications during design, developing and executing testing plans during the build phase, and measuring and monitoring during the maintenance phase.

The QA Analyst needs to be proactive, organized, meticulous, and prepared to ask lots of questions.

What you will be doing:

- Collaborating with project and product stakeholders to understand the project and product needs, and then translating these needs into test strategies and plans.
- Preparing and acquiring test data.
- Implementing tests, executing and logging tests, evaluating the results and documenting deviations from expected results.
- Using test administration or management tools and test monitoring tools as required, and performing scripting in some cases to enable testing.
- Determine the scope and business level impact of defects in products.
- Work with developers to solve quality issues.
- Peer reviewing tests and test results of other QA team members.
- Identifying common root causes of failures to inform continuous improvement.
- Promote a company-wide quality-driven mindset by finding ways to enable other teams to produce high quality deliverables.

Skill set:

- Exploratory testing and analysis of data.
- Displaying critical, quality-oriented, skeptical thinking about the product.
- Translating business product / project requirements to testing plans.
- Accurately evaluating and reporting test results, test progress and product quality.
- Working effectively to define testable user stories and acceptance criteria with team stockholders.
- Collaborating within the developers, solution / product / project managers and QA team.
- Setup of a testing environment / process, and basic scripting to enable testing.
- Being comfortable with an agile work environment.
- Planning and organizing work in a methodical way.
- Perform root cause analysis.

The individual that we are looking for must have:

- A relevant Bachelor's degree (BSc, BComm or BEng),
- Basic scripting skills, such as Python, Matlab or another similar scripting language, with the goal of analysing and visualizing data and testing results.
- Theoretical knowledge and experience in QA and software testing standards and best practices, and / or
- Strong interest and background in health information and scientific studies will have a strong advantage.
