**Job Purpose**:
To assist the Business Development team in responding to RFI's and RFQ's, tenders and proposals. To be part of the Tender Desk team that will develop integrated supply chain solutions to all products and within all industry verticals. Provide administrative assistance to the Tender Desk to ensure accurate, innovative solutions are put forward to client tenders.

- Matric (Grade 12)
- Supply Chain Degree or equivalent
- Industry certification an advantage.

**Experience**:

- 2-4 years experience in the Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics and Transport Logistics field.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Key responsibilities of this role**:

- Business development support
- Tender desk administration/technical support
- Administrative assistance in solution development for tender process.

**Main activities of this role**:

- Assist the tender desk to ensure that bids/tenders/RFQ's/RFI's/RFP's are conducted, completed, submitted, reported and captured into SharePoint.
- Ensure that post bid/tender/RFQ/RFI/RFP's are conducted, reported and captured into SharePoint in collaboration with the sales and commercial teams.
- Monitor and analyse current trends in the market place and share information with the business development team as well as product managers where applicable.
- Maintain and appropriately file all company documents that is required for RFI / RFQ submissions. Supporting documents include BEE certificates, company registration, COR, SARS documents, Confirmation of banking details, Compliance certificates, Memberships & associations and Insurance.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain Solutions and Tender Desk to share information, problem solve and clarify management objectives.
- Evaluation of all competitors, and keep abreast of new business practices.
- Monitoring government websites and tender portals for new tenders. Register company details on tender portals.
- Updating and maintenance of marketing contents used in tender submissions.
- Support the analysis of the prospective client's needs and the proposal of appropriate supply chain solutions.
- Participate in the development of supply chain solutions for the company.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of complete line of products/services and client business issues and needs.
- Monitor and analyse trends in regulations, governance and other statutory requirements that may impact client and global supply chains.
- Participate in marketing events, trade shows, exhibitions and company events.
- Contribute to the performance standards of the supply chain solutions team to meet the dynamic needs of our clients.
- Improve the measurement of the sales force outputs to increase visibility of immediate improvement opportunities.
- Support the hand over of the client onto the Servicing and Ops departments.

**Financial responsibility**:

- Provide assistance in analysing internal and external financial data for tender responses and commercial decision-making.
