**About NACOSA**:
We started as a convention intent on bringing together organisations working on HIV. We now render services and disburse funds towards a coordinated response to HIV, TB and GBV as public health threats. As an organization, we work at national, provincial local and community levels and strive to embody the ideal spirit of NACOSA. NACOSA has a zero-tolerance for sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH), and related abuse of power and is committed to protecting its staff and all people receiving services through our programs from this type of misconduct.
**The duties and responsibilities of the Psychosocial Mentor** will include, but not limited to**:
**Programme Management**
- Monitor weekly work plans of Psychosocial staff based in the district
- Consolidate annual and quarterly implementation
- Monitor progress through implementation plans
- Develop and coordinate the district events plan with clinical team.
**Programme Implementation**
- Provide comprehensive GBV case management support and coordinate implementation of support groups in the district
- Support the district based Psychosocial team through debriefing, supervision and capacity building
- Oversee referral system to other stakeholders to ensure successful referrals, and bilateral referrals to and from the prevention programme
- Attend district stakeholder engagements and meetings
- Attend feedback supervision and planning meetings with Psychosocial Manager.
- Identify areas for development and work with district Psychosocial and Clinical team
- Track each case to ensure successful completion rates, identify challenges and barriers to successful completion
- Coordinate the implementation of Community dialogues and ensure proper documentation and recording with documentation of aims and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with DREAMS partners, Government departments and NGOs in the district to facilitate linkages and referrals
- Support the team in community mapping and identification of key stakeholders for referrals and linkages
**Networking, Advocacy and Stakeholder Relations**
- Ensure good working relationships are maintained with all stakeholders at Department of Health facilities and in communities
- Build relationships and network with stakeholders through attendance at intersectoral meetings
- Contribute to district discussions on key GBV priorities
- Attend and present programme at different stakeholder platforms
- Ensure reporting of GBV data to all relevant and key stakeholders both Government and Non
- governmental
**Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting**
- Consolidated activity reports of all GBV activities
- Provide DOH monthly and quarterly reports
- Ensure that all data is of a high quality, ensure the timeliness of reporting, as well as the accuracy and completeness of forms
- Compile concise monthly/quarterly reports on Mentorship activities, engagements, progress, challenges and best practices
**People Management**
- Motivate employees and drive a healthy, values based, engaged culture to drive achievement of performance standards and targets
- Draft and implement performance management plans within the team and schedule regular contact sessions with employees to monitor and track performance
- Provide training and mentoring support to direct and indirect reports (when needed) to ensure capacity is built within the team
**Required qualifications, skills, and experience.**
- A Bachelors Degree in Social Work
- Professional registration with the South African Council of Social Services
- A minimum of 5 year's related work experience in Social Work counselling and case management
- Previous experience coordinating or implementing in Gender-based Violence or Youth specific programmatic or related areas
- Have the ability to manage and support a team of Social Workers or Social Aux Workers
- Background knowledge of case management principles and practices
- Knowledge about: Sexual and reproductive health; Gender Based Violence, HIV Testing Services
- Previous working experience in an NGO/NPO field will be advantageous
- Good Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint, E-mails, Outlook)
- Be fully conversant in spoken and written English and 1 other South African language
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle will be advantageous
