Position Overview: As an Air Rifle Salesperson, you will be responsible for promoting and selling air rifles and related accessories to customers. Your primary goal will be to assist customers in selecting the right air rifle for their needs, provide product information, and ensure a positive buying experience. You will also be responsible for achieving sales targets, building customer relationships, and maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing sales floor.
Key Responsibilities:
**Customer Service**:
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance throughout their visit.
- Engage with customers to understand their shooting preferences, experience level, and intended use for the air rifle.
- Educate customers on different air rifle models, features, and specifications to help them make informed purchasing decisions.
- Demonstrate proper handling and safety practices related to air rifles.
**Sales and Product Knowledge**:
- Actively approach customers, promoting and selling air rifles and accessories to meet individual and store sales targets.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the air rifle product line, including various models, calibers, power sources, and accessories.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and advancements in air rifle technology.
- Effectively communicate product information, warranties, and after-sales services to customers.
**Merchandising and Inventory Management**:
- Ensure the sales floor is well-organized, visually appealing, and stocked with an adequate inventory of air rifles, pellets, scopes, targets, and other accessories.
- Regularly check inventory levels, restock merchandise, and notify management of low stock situations.
- Collaborate with the store team to create attractive displays, promotions, and seasonal merchandising to drive sales.
**Relationship Building**:
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction, address any concerns, and provide assistance as needed.
- Utilize customer databases or CRM systems to capture customer information and preferences for future marketing initiatives.
**Store Operations and Policies**:
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Operate the cash register accurately, process payments, and handle financial transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning and maintaining air rifles and accessories.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales or customer service is a plus.
- Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in a retail environment.
- Knowledge and passion for air rifles, shooting sports, or outdoor activities is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple customers simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of air rifle mechanics, safety practices, and shooting techniques.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy objects.
