- A relevant teaching qualification
- At least five years’ recent experience in teaching Accounting at school level or two years relevant lecturing experience at tertiary level
- Knowledge, understanding and experience in the preparation and evaluation of meaningful teaching experiences for SPFET Phase students
- Experience and knowledge of support and differentiated teaching for learners experiencing barriers to learning related to Accounting

**RECOMMENDATIONS**:

- Knowledge and understanding of CAPS in the SPFET Phase
- Knowledge and understanding of the importance and challenges of SPFET Phase teaching in the 21st century
- Experience in the planning, designing and editing of teaching and learning materials (including electronic)
- Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities- Teaching in the SPFET Phase
- Administrating, supervising and evaluating teaching experiences
- Academic administration
- Curriculum development and other learning material
- Assessment and Quality assurance
- Personal and professional development
- Other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department
