**Job Description**:
The Food & Beverage Supervisor at our 5-Star Game Lodge in Sabi Sands plays a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences through the management of all food and beverage operations within the lodge. This role requires a combination of leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality.

Please note that this is a live in position with meals provided on duty. This would require you to relocate to the Sabi Sands

Key Responsibilities:

- ** Team Leadership and Management**:

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of all food and beverage staff, including waitstaff, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
- Train, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards.
- Schedule staff shifts, manage attendance, and handle performance evaluations as necessary.
- ** Guest Experience**:

- Ensure that all guests receive prompt, friendly, and personalized service.
- Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and effectively, striving to exceed guest expectations.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the overall dining experience.
- ** Operations Management**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all dining outlets, including restaurants, bars, and room service.
- Maintain inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, and place orders as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food items.
- ** Quality Control**:

- Conduct regular inspections of dining areas and service stations to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to standards.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and portion sizes, taking corrective action as necessary.
- Uphold the lodge's reputation for culinary excellence and service excellence.
- ** Financial Management**:

- Assist in the development of budgets and financial plans for the food and beverage department.
- Monitor expenses, revenue, and profitability, identifying opportunities for cost control and revenue generation.
- Implement strategies to maximize sales and optimize profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
- ** Training and Development**:

- Continuously train and develop food and beverage staff on service standards, product knowledge, and upselling techniques.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- ** Collaboration**:

- Liaise with other lodge departments, such as housekeeping and front office, to ensure seamless coordination of guest services.
- Collaborate with the lodge management team on strategic initiatives, promotions, and special events.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury lodge or hotel environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management, cost control, and quality assurance.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Hospitality or culinary qualifications would be advantageous.
