Group Insurance Operations Manager

The IDM Group is looking for a **Group Insurance Operations Manager** who will be responsible for the full Insurance operations of the IDM group including managing and overseeing the policy management, claims, and partner relationships management of the IDM Insurance Business.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Manage insurance policy accuracy, completeness, and insurance book, including new business fulfillment and policy cancelations (for DC, Partner and Online Platform clients)
- Oversight of the claims team, including all claims related reporting
- Manage client service across the insurance business, including complaints
- Ensure accurate and timely distribution of policy documentation to consumers, credit providers and others (as needed)
- Oversee payments and collections of insurance premia, establish benchmarks for insurance client retention
- Insurance operations key individual responsible for the day-to-day administration of the insurance business
- Manage the relationship with internal business partners including distribution, group risk, business intelligence and finance
- Manage the relationship with external business partners including cell captive provider
- Present data, trends, arrears, payments, policy size, claims, etc. and other business drivers to senior management and external partners
- Facilitate extraction of data and reports (by working with BI and others as needed) to help with MIS and display of real-time data on dashboards to help with real-time management
- Escalate business risks to senior management
- Monitor capacity and allocate jointly with team leaders or managers of relevant areas
- Ensure compliance with the rules set out by the FSCA and POPIA.
**Key requirements and qualifications**:
- **Minimum 3-year experience **in operations management and insurance management will be advantageous
- A university degree; preferably business-related
- Advanced knowledge of MS office suite
- Long-term insurance claims management experience will be advantageous
