Well established BBBEE Level 1 company based in Midrand is seeking to employ an experienced Finance Officer to join their team.

The Finance Officer will champion a vast range of Finance functions with diligence and absolute attention to detail.

**Daily duties**
- _Invoicing projects and following up on debtors_
- _Processing all payments and reconciling creditors_
- _Managing expenditure through effective budgetary controls_
- _Maintaining the accounting system of the Group Companies (checking all Pastel system entries for correctness, i.e. expenditure and revenue must be directed to the correct project and correctly allocated on the General Ledger)_
- _Providing Project Codes for all projects and making sure all requisitions bear a project code._
- _Maintaining the assets and equipment register._
- _Maintaining effective financial controls._
- _Ensuring that all team members perform their tasks responsibly on a day-to-day basis._
- _Any other duties as assigned by GM Finance_

**Weekly duties**
- _Compiling weekly financial obligations of the company as well as expected revenue inflows to guide management on the funding strategy for the week (cashflow projections)._
- _Reporting on Company finance status to management committees_
- _Ensuring that Bank and cash reconciliations are done._

**Monthly duties**
- _Management reports._
- _Reconciling Creditors, Loans, Advances and Debtors_
- _Prepare and submit returns (Vat, Paye, SDL, etc)._
- _Monthly Cash flows and budget reports_

**Annual duties**
- _Compile annual budget based on the submissions from All sections._
- _Annual financial statements for tax, tendering and for banks._
- _CIPC returns, BBBEE compliance and_
- _Year-end closure processes_

**Performance Indicators**
- _Accurate and complete General Ledger_
- _Complete and accurate Budget reports_
- _Reconciled bank statements/ Cash book._
- _Accurate and complete management reports circulated every _**7**_th of the following month._
- _Uptodate and accurate financial and accounting records_
- _Up to date compliance (tax, cipc, bbbee, etc - companies compliant) and properly filed support for all returns made._
- _Publishable annual financial statements by 31 May._

**Qualifications & experience**
- _Degree in finance, accounting, management, or administration_
- _ACCA, SAIPA, CIMA, etc_
- _Served articles of clerkship (advantage)_
- _4 years’ experience in a related role_
- _2 years’ experience in using Pastel._
