**Introduction**:
We are looking to recruit an Analyst (Customer Insights) within our marketing department. This role will be based at our Head Office in Cape Town and report into the Customer and Market Insight Manager.

**Job description**:
**Job Purpose**:

To assist the CMI Department to meet the business performance objectives by generating customer and supplier insights in order to deliver world class business digital, marketing and supplier performance tracking, customer data analytics and market understanding

**Job Objective**:

- To analyse digital supplier campaign and online data to track overall supplier and campaign performance and provide insights
- To perform customer, digital and supplier reviews ,identify customer segment opportunities and assisting in understanding customer shopping habits and campaign performance
- To mine the Clicks customer and other data bases in order to extract insights for specified projects using a multi method research approach.
- To assist in meeting the CMI and Online department's operational plans through capacity building of reporting and identified metrics and setting of budgets
- To support the CMI Department’s strategic vision by disseminating research reports throughout digital and online business units to key stakeholders and by taking responsibility for the central repository of insights reports in order to support and grow supplier paid income packages within the business.
- To report on market, supplier and online performance; customer segments; shopping habits; and marketing channels as part of monthly business performance tracking.

**Minimum requirements**:
**Education**:

- Relevant Bachelor's degree (Statistics, Economics, Finance) depending on level of experience

**Job Experience**:

- 1-3 years data analytic experience;
- 1-3 years CRM experience
- Retail experience

**Job Skills and Knowledge**:

- Statistical packages;
- Customer modelling;
- Statistical methodology (e.g. forecasting, extrapolations, factor analysis);
- Interpretation of microeconomic data;
- Retail CRM;
- Knowledge of proprietary database/data management and analytics tools
- Data analysis;
- Data integrity;
- Data extrapolations / forecasting;
- Report writing;
- Presentation skills
