**Distribution Center Manager**

**Core Function**: To manage the operations and provide leadership to all role players in such a manner that is strategic, profitable and ensures that quality targets are achieved

**Functional Description**:

- Manage the end-to-end distribution center operations including but not limited to the following key process activities: (Receiving inventory, put away, storage, picking, packing and loading)
- Manage and evaluate finances of the operation to maximise profitability
- Manage all aspects of health & safety, technical work and standard operating procedures to ensure operational excellence to support the achievement of objectives and targets
- Plan and manage all projects within timelines, actively support and lead projects
- Identify, develop and implement identified policies and procedures which relate to day-to-day operational activities are developed and maintained.
- Provide leadership to the operations through recruiting and retaining competent staff and encouraging high performance to ensure a productive and engaged team
- Manage all performance management aspects of direct reports and facilitate the same within the rest of the departments.
- Facilitate an engaged and motivated workforce
- Develop, monitor, and adapt KPI’S to address operational and Performance requirements
- Track KPI reports and reason out any deviation from the targets and take appropriate measures to avoid errors.
- Ensure all work equipment are used in proper manner, maintained properly and functioning to its maximum capacity.
- Maintain safe working conditions and environment.
- Ensure the warehouse thru-put and productivity are maintained
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management System
- Keep abreast of new industry developments affecting the Distribution Centre operation
- Actively support and lead change management
- Excellent analytical abilities.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain /Logistics/ Warehousing or related.
- 8 years’ experience in FMCG manufacturing, logistics and supply chain field
- 5 years operational leadership experience and capability.
- Postgraduate qualification preferable.

**Salary**: R80,000.00 - R90,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- Diploma (required)

- Supply chain/ FMCG: 8 years (required)
