Bookkeeper

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture financial records from bank statements, invoices and credit notes received, payments made and prepares journals to address any anomalies appropriately;
- Liaise with creditors to obtain copies of older invoices where required
- Review VAT returns for anomalies and submit corrections
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in accounting or related qualification
- At least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping, preferably in an FMCG environment
- Proficiency in Xero, Google Workspace and advanced knowledge of Excel is essential, experience using Dext or other OCR scanning software is a bonus
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- SA citizenship or valid work permit
- Remote working set-up, including fibre
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
**Salary**: R12,000.00 - R14,000.00 per month
