**Descriptions**:

- Ensure all streets are clear of debris and garden waste

Ensure all parks and open green spaces are weed free, neat, and tidy/presentable
Special focus on tree bowls and garden beds - keeping it weed free and upgrade when necessary.
Ensure estate refuse bins are regularly checked and cleaned
Plum orchard area, weed and tree bowl maintenance
Ensure that all thoroughfares (gates) are clean and free of debris
Special focus on dam edge garden beds keeping it weed free and tidy
Ensure sub-contractor roving team cut open area lawn areas as per schedule timeously.
Attend to boundary security fence as and when needed and when requested by the Security Manager
Continuous monitoring of streetscape trees ensuring correct height is maintained
Ensure delivery of required landscaping accessories and goods
Dog waste management
Efficient water management via irrigation
Continuous propagation practices to ensure readily available plant material
Draft up an annual landscape budget; the proposed budget submitted to the Estate Manager for referral to Excom for approval
Manages expenditure within the agreed budget parameters
Obtains approval of the Estate Manager or Excom for any expenditure outside of the budget parameter
Timeous submission of monthly landscape report
Direct liaison with outsourced labour contractor
Daily management of onsite staff
Effectively delegate tasks to staff
Know and understand each staff members skills and strengths and develop them to that person’s maximum potential
Able to resolve conflicts and manage grievances in the landscape team
Manage tools and machinery as to ensure proper working condition
Develop and establish new landscaped areas
Evaluate the status of the existing gardens and surrounding areas on a continuous basis, and upgrade where necessary
Identify potential problem areas and take remedial steps
Acquisition of green material as to ensure effective landscape design
When required advise residents on matters relating to landscaping, especially insofar as property facing the green/open areas and properties facing the security fence.
When required furnish residents with reputable contractors regarding horticultural needs and requirements.
Ad-hoc planning of special garden related activities or events or special occasions for the estate and its residents

**Qualifications**:
10 years’ experience, after qualification
Prior experience in management role (3 - 5 years)
A National Horticultural Qualification or similar
Good communication skills in English & Afrikaans
