**The Person**:

- B.Com (Accounting) / Honours.
- CA (SA) or CIMA an advantage.
- Min 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.

**The Job**:

- Financial Control:

- Prepare and consolidate budgets, forecasts and Flash results.
- Close alignment with Plant Financial Controllers for collecting and analysing data & reports.
- Monitor performance against budget (expense controls, variances, etc.).
- Control and consolidate Capex & Tooling.
- Facilitate the audit process, and prepare required audit deliverables.
- Protect company assets (working capital & fixed assets).
- Detect and prevent fraud.
- Promote good Corporate Governance.
- Provide support on the Financial Strategic plans.
- General Financial Management & Reporting:

- Provide financial analysis and support to management and all operational areas of the business.
- Review and action financial variances (Budget / Forecast).
- Review the BU/Plant Flash Results and analyse variances.
- Review and action balance sheet account variances.
- Prepare financial reports and returns.
- Generate information and reports.
- Financial Management Systems:

- Manage and maintain the accounting and business intelligence systems.
- Administer the Management Information System.
- Internal Control:

- Design, document and implement internal controls.
- Maintain and review the Risk Register.
- Budgets and Forecasts:

- Prepare the consolidated budget and forecast process.
- Review operational budgets and forecasts.
- Co-ordinate and consolidate all budgets and forecasts.
- Financial Pack:

- Prepare and circulate the monthly BU financial pack.
- Prepare financial reports and returns.
- Flash Results:

- Review the BU Flash Results and action variances.
- Review the BU/Plant Flash results and analyse variances.
- Capex & Fixed Assets:

- Consolidate and maintain the BU/Plant Capex reports.
- Review Capex spend.
- Support useful life and residual value of Fixed Assets analysis.
- Tooling:

- Consolidate and maintain the BU/Plant Tooling reports.
- Weekly Sales Report:

- Review weekly sales reports.
- General Ledger:

- Review balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Review and authorise journal entries.
- Comply with IFRS.
- Audits and Year-End Processes:

- Prepare the consolidated audit plan.
- Prepare and plan year-end statutory audit (external and internal) in line with the consolidated audit plan.
- Prepare reporting Accounting, Audit and Tax packs.
- Facilitate completion of financial statements for Legal entities.
- Conduct a final review and submit to Holding company.
- Banking:

- Release weekly bank transfers (creditors and wages).
- Review and authorise creditors payments.
- Cash Management:

- Oversee cash management function of the BU.
- Monitor daily cash positions and cash flows.
- Manage cash flow and working capital.
- Debtors / Creditors Management:

- Oversee debtors and creditors function of the BU.
- Facilitate and input into debtors & creditors management process.
- Review debtors/creditors age analysis, providing an analysis and action plans for debt collections.
- Forex:

- Manage Forex risk.
- Review Forex forecasts.
- Statutory Returns:

- Ensure compliance with the general tax provisions.
- Review Statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, SDL, UIF, WCA)
- Support process of Provisional/Income Tax returns.
- Prepare and submit Government Incentive Applications.
- Other:

- SHEQ
- Manage Quality within Finance (Quality Management System).
- Customer and supplier relations.
- Insurance matters.
- Continuous improvement.
