You will contribute to our goal of building a suite of customer centric products and services for both the informal and formal markets we service. These products and services will be utilized across the various divisions and channels within the Flash Group.

Whilst Flash is a leading VAS provider in the South African Informal market, we also service various 3rd party channels in the Informal, Retail, Online and Banking industries with our products and services. The Lead Product Manager will continually aim to find/design/build products, with their team of skilled Product Managers that will make our end users and business partners a lives easier. There is a very strong focus on innovation and customer centric products and services.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Leading individuals across functions to deliver products and ensure product vision is implemented effectively

Working with multiple teams across the business and all internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage, design and build highly effective product strategies and roadmaps

Help influence and maintain a frontend platform roadmap based on our architectural goals

Work with the data and/or UX teams to research, prototype, test and validate ideas around our design system, tooling and frontend architecture

Driving the development of new products or product changes and enhancements aligned with our user’s needs

Actively participate with product managers and the product development teams to define product requirements and specifications

Drive strategic product communications across the organization (e.g. decision narratives, product updates, tracking of successes and failures) internally and externally with business leaders and all relevant stakeholders

Drive alignment on product features, business metrics, and business strategies across the organisation

Identify business opportunities to expand, automate, or optimize our product offering

Market and competitor research and insights

Facilitate and drive innovation of new products that align with business strategy and user needs

Evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends.

Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues or bottlenecks that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.

Partner management and commercial negotiations

Margin management from an income statement and product perspective

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:
BA or BS in a technical field

8+ years of product management experience in a leadership capacity’ - including developing technical products in a high growth environment, from inception to delivery

A strong technical background with software development or technical management experience, and an understanding of the software development life cycle

Experience working on projects with cross functional teams in an Agile environment

Business Development or Growth Management experience and experience in creating campaigns and driving product awareness

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data and information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including executives and technical/non-technical leaders

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

Experience in owning a suite of products and defining long-term product strategy and vision aligned with the customers need in mind

Experience creating complex technical and functional specifications aligned with business requirements and customer needs

Previous experience in / with the informal, banking or retail industry will be an advantage

Previous experience in using a mix of legacy and new modular systems to deliver outcomes

The ability to work with and influence remote teams

Strong and supportive leader with a proven track record

Budgeting and forecasting experience
