**OCNS is seeking to employ an experienced and well-organized Technical Support Assistant (TSA) to join our vibrant OCNS team in Durban. The role serves as a function as a TSA, where the basic functions are managing admin processes, collaborating with others and handling special projects.**
- Company based in Durban, Riverhorse Valley.
- Living in surrounding area (would be an advantage)

**Minimum requirements**:

- Relevant Admin and or Fibre Networking experience will be an advantage.
- Must have strong administrative and excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.

**Duties as a Technical Support Assistant (TSA) will include, but not be limited to the following**:
**KEY AREAS**:

- Communicate faults as issued by the NOC and create contingency plans when required.
- Management of faults issued by NOC, communicate, manage and control faults issued to ensure efficient delivery.
- Consistent updates between the NOC and teams.
- Ensure that the allocated team/ TSA adhere to specifications compliance and SLA. Failure must be reported to Ops Manager, to discuss team performance and training and development.
- Miscellaneous and General Co-ordinate and implement projects (Cut Overs) as and when required by the company.
- Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time-to
- time by management.

**TASKS**:

- Receive faults from NOC and issue to teams, ensure that the fault is issued timeously and dealt within the SLA. Site access, and security if necessary is arranged.
- Consistent updates between the NOC and teams.
- Ensuring all equipment kept by the team is functioning, any defects must be reported to line management.
- Office based and field related work may be required, shift work and after-hours work may be necessary to ensure faults are fixed within SLA.
- Ensuring that the field technicians are kept updated with any changes to client specifications. Find and suggest innovative ideas to improve proficiency.
- Influence a positive and supportive role to field technicians.
- Continual communication and feedback to the client and OCNS management regarding fault management
- Work together with OCNS departments to ensure external client satisfaction.

- Strong Communication and administrative experience: 3 years (required)
- Fiber experience (splicing, labelling, design)
