**Job Specifications**:
**General**:
The SHE Legal Consultant’s duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Implementing controls, risk assessment frameworks, and programs which align to regulatory requirements, ensuring documented and sustainable compliance that aligns and advances the organisation and its’ clients’ objectives;
- Ensuring process improvement, policy, automation, and the continuous evolution of capabilities;
- Assisting with the drafting of policies, processes, procedures, and forms to meet legal requirements;
- Creating legal registers;
- Implementing POPI, OHS Act, NEMA and other legislations in organisations;
- Implementing Governance frameworks, King 4, Prince 2 and ISO Standards in organisations;
- Documenting of Risk Methodologies and Risk Assessments;
- Conducting internal and external audits against legal requirements and legal registers of organisations;
- Project Management;
- Justification of Compliance through implementation strategies of policies, processes and procedures;
- Providing cyber law advice internally, as well as to clients as and when required;
- Creating contracts, memorandum of understandings and service level agreements;
- Reviewing all client and supplier contracts;
- Justification of non-disclosure agreements;
- Writing letters of demand as and when required;
- Management of properties (Reviewing of Lease Agreements);
- Implementing processes within the organisation, as well as for its clients;
- Developing reporting metrics, dashboards, and evidence artifacts;
- Assisting clients and other staff in the management and oversight of legal controls;
- Training, guiding, and acting as a resource on any legal matters;
- Remaining current on best practices and changes in legislation and acting as the organisation’s legal resource for compliance.

- **Effectively communicate issues to diverse audiences, both in writing and verbally;**:

- **Create legal registers;**:

- **Manage projects;**:

- **Implement POPIA, OHS Act, NEMA and other legislations in organisations;**:

- **Give advice internally and to clients on any legal matters;**:

- **Evaluate and update and/or revise program materials;**:

- **Share knowledge on various Acts;**:

- **Understand and follow broad and complex instructions;**:

- **Interact positively with all relevant parties in order to enhance effectiveness and to promote quality service;**:

- **Comprehend technical language and to confer, analyse and write in an objective, clear manner;**:

- **Work independently and prioritise multiple tasks and adapt to needed changes;**:

- **Remain calm under pressure;**:

- **Travel locally or internationally as and when required.**

**Minimum Experience and Qualifications Required**:

- **Tertiary qualification specialising in Law**:

- **3-5 Years’ experience**:

- **Certificates in cyber security, governance or any other related fields.**:

- **OHS Act Knowledge**:

- **Environmental (NEMA) Knowledge**:

- **POPIA knowledge (essential)**:

- **Experience with legal audits will be an added advantage.**:

- **Valid driver’s licence.**

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: R20,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month
