My client is operational within the coal mining sector, with specific focus on the transportation of dry bulk coal. The approximate scale of the current operation is running a fleet of 150 trucks to achieve daily dispatch of 120 trucks. This is an admin intensive role - you will be required to capture data on Excel and Google Sheets. It is imperative that you are proficient in excel or an exceptional learner.

**Main objective**

To coordinate with transporters, loading points, and port to achieve the daily dispatch targets.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Working with executive and planning teams to set weekly targets.
- Executing the set plan with the support of the field team.
- Working with multiple stakeholders towards the same objective - internal stakeholders (field team) and external stakeholders (transporters, loading points, etc.)
- Communicate effectively and frequently with multiple stakeholders to have live performance information
- Make on the day decisions to achieve daily dispatch targets
- Build relationships and resolve conflicts - you may sometimes have to work with people whose goals are different,, so creating win-win situations is key
- Report effectively and frequently to the executive team

**Requirements**:

- Working in a logistics/transport company as an operation manager or fleet controller with supervision of 100+ trucks.
- Relevant logistics certification
- Has good interpersonal skills and a strong follow-up game
