Production Superintendent

**JOB DESCRIPTION - PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT**
- **Purpose of the Job**_

Production Superintendent required for planning, coordination and execution of engineering projects and general maintenance on machines and equipment.
- **Key Performance Areas**_

**SHE**
- Comply with the OHSA and any legal appointment under this Act.
- Ensure compliance to the National Environmental Management Act.

**Internal Process**
- Responsible for ensuring all equipment required to perform the work is available and is of acceptable working condition.
- Report any fault, worn or damaged equipment to maintenance.
- Responsible for correct settings of machines and equipment according to work instructions.
- Responsible for identifying training needs, providing training, evaluation of such.
- Responsible for identification on the WIP stock inside factories.

**Productivity**
- To ensure Quality Inspectors are called to verify tools/set up samples before production run.
- To ensure that all reworks and scraps are segregated, recorded, and verified.
- Responsible for reduction of scrap/reworking in the workplace.
- To ensure and verify all products/materials are correct.
- Communicate all issues (problems, non-conformance).
- Report unsafe processes or unsafe acts by other employees.
- Quality system awareness.
- **Skills, Experience and Competencies**_
- Gr 12.
- 5 years working experience.
- Plastic experience.
