**Khetha Program**:
The Khetha Program is a co-operative agreement between WWF-SA and USAID. The overall goal of the project is to halt wildlife trafficking impacts on flagship species in key populations of the GLTFCA landscape in South Africa and Mozambique.
The Khetha Program will co-ordinate a consortium of partners in creating enhanced regional coordination around shared resources based on effective implementation of community based natural resource management policies, improved law enforcement and interagency co-operation. Activities will focus on enhanced community-based approaches to address illegal wildlife trade and providing support to law enforcement and will be implemented through a range of civil society and government partnerships through the support of USAID.
**Background**:
Reporting directly to the Chief Analyst (DFFE Analyst Unit), the purpose of this position is to establish and maintain local analysis support to both Limpopo and Mpumalanga official structures (including state and private). This role is to encompass the reporting and analysis of environmental crime and environmental crime-related arrests and ensure support is provided to relevant investigating officers (conservation agencies and SAPS) as well as play a critical role in ensuring official structures (state and private) are informed and represented.
The position will be based in Limpopo and will require the ability to undertake national and regional travel as necessary.

- Relevant tertiary qualification where applicable.
- At least 5 years’ related work experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- CMORE
- Analyst Notebook
- iBase
- Power BI
- The signing of a Non - Disclosure Agreement.
**Advantageous requirements**:
- Top Level Clearance.
- Good executive-level communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of people.
- Reliability, efficiency and the ability to work under pressure.
- Computer literacy and a very good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent oral and English written communication skills.
- High-level planning and co-ordination skills.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Valid code 08 driver’s license and own vehicle.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- **Environmental Crime Data**
- Establish where required and maintain relevant Share Groups and associated reporting protocols.
- Monitor and report on input to relevant parties as required.
- Monitor and report on unit progress with regards to data received, captured and processed.
- Process regular monthly output reports depicting status and modus Operandi.
- **Environmental Crime Scene Data Registers**
- Consolidate input from all parks / districts (including all historical data).
- Follow up on outstanding information and ensure final registers accurate and comprehensive.
- Ensure imported / captured to relevant CMORE sharegroups through regular liaison with crime scene data analyst.
- Monthly distribution of statistical reports to relevant parties will be determined.
- **Environmental Crime-Related Arrests**
- Consolidate input from all provinces (including all historical data).
- Follow up on outstanding information and ensure comprehensive and complete.
- Ensure imported/captured to relevant CMORE sharegroups for capture to iBase.
- Monthly distribution of statistical reports to relevant parties.
- Ensure accurate and up to date at all times.
- **Analysis**
- Analyse incoming information notes / intelligence reports and ensure sharing to DFFE Environmental Fusion Centre and process to prepare associated investigations recommendations.
