Senior Manager: Alternative Product Offerings

Responsible for the development of innovative, competitive and marketable alternative benefit offerings through the following actions:
Develop loyalty and reward programmes for Medihelp to grow Medihelp’s market share;
Develop a platform to understand and measure loyalty drivers;
Act as champion to facilitate the realization of alternative product offerings, including client participation, technical troubleshooting and updates;
Champion product enhancements and changes by researching Medihelp’s benefit options and value-added products;
Identify appropriate service providers; and
Take the lead in R&D related to the effect of changes/enhancements on the sustainability of the alternative product offerings.
Own and oversee wellness and preventive initiatives, member education and disease management initiatives and other related activities and initiatives that form part of Medihelp’s Healthprint platform.
Responsible for market analysis and setting growth targets through the following actions:
Track competitive data, and research industry best practices and emerging opportunities to gain competitive insights;
Identify target markets and conduct market segmentation to align with appropriate benefit options; and
Ensure targets for new enrolments and corporate growth are aligned with the Medihelp objectives.
In conjunction with the Marketing business unit, ensure that marketing material is appropriate and aligned with the Medihelp objectives.
Ensure training on changes to the alternative benefit offering range.
Remain focused on increasing customer advocacy, retention and purchase frequency, improving overall customer perception and satisfaction with all offerings.
Compile corporate group and/or broker reports using the results of analyses by the Risk business unit regarding risk profile, enrolments and terminations.
Participate in internal and external forums, e.g. product development/strategic planning and regulatory forums.
Draft, review and negotiate contracts with third-party service providers to ensure delivery of services.
Compile and monitor a risk register.
Ensure constant operational efficiency through innovation within areas under control.
Ensure adherence to all legislative and regulatory prescripts.
Continuously evaluate plans, actions and resources to ensure that objectives are achieved.
Manage the budget in order to utilise resources effectively and achieve objectives.

A relevant tertiary diploma or degree.
Eight years’ relevant experience in the insurance or healthcare industry of which four years must be on management level.

**Must possess knowledge of the following**:
The Medical Schemes Act and Regulations;
Product offering development in the medical and financial services sectors;
Loyalty and reward programmes;
Competitor environment and trends; and
Consumer behaviour and buying decisions.
Computer literate in MS Office.
Must possess a valid K53 driving licence.
Good verbal and written English communication skills as well as proficiency in understanding Afrikaans spoken and written communication.
