Events Manager

- Consumer events
- Trade & industry wine shows - both domestic and international
- Internal conferences and events
- Assisting with brand home events and the hospitality team when involving wine sales
- Contribute to the development of integrated annual plans through the strategic planning and ownership of a 12 month event activity calendar linked to goals & ROI
- Co-ordinate all aspects of events from strategy, planning, administration, executing right through to post-event evaluation and reporting as required
- Work with the relevant internal teams to plan and execute pre, during, and post event nurture and engagement programs where appropriate
- Work with the relevant external suppliers to plan and execute pre, during, and post event tasks as required
- Act as event first point of contact, evaluating all ad hoc proposals and opportunities received, declining where not aligned to core strategy and elevating internally for further consideration where warranted
- Keep track of all activities by managing the centralised estate & brands event calendars and spreadsheets
- Represent the brands with passion and confidence at events & wine shows and showcase the wine portfolio to trade and consumers
- Develop and source appropriate event merchandise and promo material and keep track of stock movement and control.
- Develop event digital toolkits including standards and assets for best-practice sharing to ensure seamless experience and flawless execution of same or similar activities across key markets
- Collaborate with trade marketing & loyalty club leads to maximise loyalty club lead generation at events
- Manage the annual events budget, seeking out opportunities to maximise cost savings and ROI without compromising premium execution
- Act as the in-house events marketing champion, willing to coach the broader teams on how to use this engagement platform for successful outputs
- Co-ordinate VIP group logistics & agenda for multi-brand home visits (individual brand home tours & tastings managed directly by on-site hospitality & tasting room teams)
- Managing and scheduling of promoters when required
- Research trends in event planning to develop new ideas for future events
- Be an informed and category champion regarding winemaking, winegrowing, wine vintages and the distinct benefits and availability of our specific range - products, awards and accolades
- Manage assigned relevant integration projects and ad hoc responsibilities assigned by the Head of Marketing & Innovation.
- Perform administrative and other tasks as requested.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in marketing, communications, or related field with experience in wine &/or hospitality in the luxury category strongly recommended.
- A solid understanding of the event marketing strategies, trends, and technologies
- Understanding of how local programs can be adapted &/or scaled for global markets
- Creative flair coupled with a data-driven mentality and sense of how to use insights to sharpen impact
- Strategically minded with operational capability
- Problem-solving skills, ability to remain calm under pressure and create solutions
- Highly organised and efficient, able to get things done amid ambiguity
- Excellent communication, networking and relationship skills
- Attention to detail and takes pride in work
- Happy to be hands-on and demonstrates accountability
