Overview

This is an opportunity for an energetic hospitality operations manager to join our team running our exceptional beach-side venue. It is an exciting hands-on position working closely with the team. You will manage and grow all activities related to the venue, accommodation, and restaurant operations, ensuring that the business runs smoothly, that guests’ expectations are met, and that all tasks are successfully completed. You will also initiate and drive forward plans for expanding the business. This position for Operations Manager reports directly to the Owner of the business.

This position is situated in a small (and growing) town up the West Coast. Approximately, 1 hour from the centre of Cape Town. It is well suited for an individual who is well presented, and prefers to live and work away from the madding crowd.

**Minimum requirements**:

- Matric / Grade 12
- A minimum of 3 years’ management experience in a similar environment

**Key responsibilities (This will include, but not limited to)**:

- Manage all departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Work closely with heads of all departments: Events, Accommodation, Front of House, Housekeeping, Restaurant, Site Maintenance.
- Liaise and negotiate with 3rd party suppliers.
- Set goals and work schedules for all employees and monitor performance.
- Ensure that all departments cooperate to provide the necessary support to the operation.
- Ensure that furniture and equipment is properly maintained and ready on time.
- Logistical needs.
- Ensure casual staff is scheduled as required.
- Ensure regular deep cleaning and upkeep of rooms and common areas.
- Oversee cleanliness, upkeep, and general appearance of the property.
- Inspect and document repairs and maintenance of property.
- Monitor monthly inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Check weekly stock-takes.
- Ensure property is safe and locked.

**Salary offer**:
