**Manufacturing Snr Instrumentation Technician (Delta, Omron, Siemens SCADA), Germiston, Rneg + Benefits**

**Trade** **Certified in the relevant **Electrical / Instrumentation** fields.
- **N6 or T4** Qualification or equivalent in **Electrical Engineering**:

- **Delta, Omron, and Siemens PLC courses** will be an advantage.

**Knowledge of occupational safety**
- **Good knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics**:

- Min **10 years’ experience gained in PLC and SCADA software development**, programming, and support, ideally in a cement or dry bulk powder blending and packing automated environment.
- Sound knowledge of **instrumentation, variable speed drives, and automation systems**.
- Sound knowledge of **plc programming-based control philosophy** using first principles.
- Proven skill in scoping small instrumentation and control continuous improvement projects to improve plant stability and optimize production processes.
- Incumbent must have solid experience in compiling bill of materials for electrical and instrumentation components, power and control panels design and layout, **designing and writing PLC / SCADA software, hardware and software commissioning**, and successful implementation of such projects.
- This position will require **standby duty and overtime when required**.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintenance and repairs to all equipment
- Electrical, Instrumentation and electronic repair and maintenance of all machinery within the factory, and all associated electrical supply and control panels.
- Strong programming and fault-finding knowledge of **DELTA, OMRON, SIEMENS, Variable Speed Drives and PLC's will be advantageous.**:

- Fault-finding and analysis of machine condition and electronic component failures.
- Load cell fault finding, diagnostics and calibration.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration on weighing systems, level control systems, level transmitters, and control system as per procedures and schedules.
