**Senior Investment Officer (JB3809)**
Bryanston, Johannesburg
R1.1 - R1.5 Million per annum
2-year Fixed Term Contract
Are you a seasoned Investment Officer with a proven track record in Development Finance Institutions (DFIs)? We are an esteemed international DFI seeking a dynamic professional to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our investment portfolio.

**Minimum Requirements**:
Relevant Master’s degree; CA (SA); ACCA or CFA designation
3 or more years of experience within DFI’s as an Investment Officer or similar role
Proficiency in cultivating and fostering valuable connections, both within the organization and externally
Ability to travel internationally for extended periods

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Portfolio Development**:
Foster dialogue on impact objectives: transition and climate finance, financial inclusion, SME finance, and agri-finance.
Identify and assess business opportunities aligned with overarching objectives.
Coordinate appraisal missions, covering economic, financial, legal, social, environmental, and technical aspects.
Conduct comprehensive financial credit risk assessments.
Prepare reports and project documentation for decision-making bodies.
Negotiate financial documentation with legal counsels.
Identify opportunities for technical advisory and partnerships with local and regional institutions.

**Portfolio Management**:
Manage client procurement processes for intellectual services.
Process disbursement requests for approved funding.
Monitor ongoing projects, actively participating in supervision missions.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and propose corrective actions if necessary.
Review operational and financial documents for annual risk review.

**Strategy and Communication Activities**:
Contribute to the regional FI strategy by mapping key stakeholders and identifying business opportunities.
Support communication and media presence through drafting opinion pieces and organizing events.
