**KEY PURPOSE OF JOB**

**KEY TASKS**

Develop and implement an information management strategy that supports business goals and objectives
- Defining a comprehensive strategy for managing and leveraging information assets to support business growth, innovation, and competitiveness.
- Establishing frameworks, processes, and tools to govern the collection, storage, analysis, and dissemination of information across the organization.
- Introduce a company wide data/information reporting tool that can source data from disparate systems while tailored as needed

System Management and Optimization
- Take responsibility for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Product Data Management (PDM) system, and any other system-related functions.
- Ensure seamless integration, functionality, and optimization of all systems to enhance operational efficiency and support business processes.
- Spearhead initiatives to evaluate, implement, and upgrade systems as necessary to meet evolving business needs and technological advancements.
- Guide the introduction of new information driven, or data generating, tools to ensure ease of introduction/integration and maximise use.

Ensuring the security and integrity of company data and IT systems.
- Establishing and maintaining robust data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive company information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.
- Implementing and enforcing compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices related to data security and privacy.

Oversee the outsourced IT service provider to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to the outsourced IT service provider to ensure the delivery of services that meet the company’s requirements and expectations.
- Monitor service levels, performance metrics and adherence to SLAs and addressing any issues or concerns proactively

Managing vendor relationships and contracts related to IT services
- Negotiating and managing vendor contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business needs.
- Monitoring vendor performance, conducting regular reviews, and addressing any issues or discrepancies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Provide strategic guidance and leadership on technology-related initiatives.
- Identifying emerging technologies and trends that have the potential to drive business innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
- Leading initiatives related to digital transformation, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and other areas of technological innovation to support business objectives.

Collaboration to leverage technology for competitive advantage and support overall business strategy.
- Working closely with other members of the management team to align technology initiatives with overall business strategy and goals.
- Leveraging technology as a strategic enabler to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and market differentiation.

Driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Fostering a culture of innovation within the IT organization and across the company, encouraging experimentation, creativity, and collaboration.
- Promoting the adoption of agile methodologies, design thinking, and other approaches to drive rapid iteration and improvement in technology solutions and processes.
- Investigate AI, ML and other emerging data related technologies, and implement where they offer significant value-add
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements, implementing best practices, and staying updated on emerging technologies and trends in data management.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required by company

PREREQUISITES

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in IT management, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

**Additional**:

- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in systems administration, network management, and database management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate with other departments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, or PMP are a plus.
- Syspro experience
